COACH Jeff Schmitz

Jeffrey Schmitz is a USA Hockey Level 2 Certified Coach and USA Hockey Bronze Goaltending Certified Coach with a lifelong passion for hockey. Growing up playing both roller and ice hockey in Southern California, he believes the game is one of life’s greatest teachers.

Jeffrey is passionate about developing strong fundamentals while helping players build confidence, character, and a love for the game. He emphasizes respect, hard work, teamwork, accountability, physical fitness, and sportsmanship, believing these lessons extend far beyond the rink. With a special passion for coaching goaltenders and defensemen, he enjoys helping players grow both technically and mentally.

Jeffrey has served as an Assistant Coach for the Jr. Firebirds 10U (2024–2025) and 12U (2025–2026) teams and is also a coach with the Berger Foundation Skate Academy. His goal is to create a positive environment where players are challenged to compete, learn, and become better athletes, teammates, and people.
